Go here: http://www.lowcut.dk/ You get to read a stupid interview with your favorite label guy, and read the first review of the Suspicions and Kidnappers in their review section. I never thought these guys knew there was a Rip Off Records until Martin Brohammer contacted me. I originally thought he had me confused with Larry Hardy from In The Red. Anyway enjoy... |

I know you thought we were dead and gone didn't you? Thought we went the way of other great labels like Mans Ruin Records or something? (this last comment I hope you realize is SARCASTIC) You ain't getting rid of Rip Off that easy. So believe all the b.s. you hear from all these so called “music sites” that are nothing more than a bunch of pansies pretending they know what punk rock is. They don't. We do. They Don't. We do. You get it yet? Ok so here we go…

Its our honor to have the awesome Kidnappers on Rip Off Records. Their first lp on Alien Snatch Records a few years ago had everybody going crazy for them. Yes even Rip Off liked them, and it wasn't even on Rip Off!!! So we went to Germany and gave ‘em an ultimatium, Join Rip Off Records roster and have your country invaded. Being the smart Germans they are, they decided to join the team. Anyway here for yourself how great they are. Great pop that doesn't sound wimp. Great pop that doesn't sound like they are a generic copy of some obscure band. Great pop that doesn't need “well known has been pop stars” to record or do backround vocals. This is the Kidnappers, and it all them. 300 are on neon green, and guess where you can get them?? That's right the paypal shop right here right now. When gone they is gone. You can listen to the a song from the new album here: listen to how long MP3 |

| O.k.
the final Zodiac Killers blast is out now. 12 catchy new blasts that continue
on the line of the Society’s Offenders Lp. Some Europeans think it’s
the best Zodiac Killers release ever…but I won’t lie to you..I
think Society’s Offenders is…Radiation Beach is good, but I
needed more time to work on some of the songs to make them better, I had
no time to fine tune my songs. Anyway there are 500 pressed on Radiation
clear red vinyl, and about 200+ of those were already sold on our European
tour, but luckily Rip Off Records has 50 more for you to purchase, but once
they are gone they are gone..you could get lucky and get one at your favorite
record store..but no way to tell if its colored vinyl or not…So order
up, Paypal NOW!! (note because I still don't know what I am doing, just
order the new lp/cd by listing another lp, and in the notes just state Radiation
Beach Lp or Cd. )

Back from a very fun and tiring tour …but the Zodiac Killers had a great time. Some of the shows were incredible, London, Brixton, the show in Leicester England with the Rezillos, (by the way got to meet and hang out with the Rezillos who were really great people, in fact Eugene Reynolds gave the Zodiac Killers money out of his own pocket…great gesture by a great guy. Sadly they just had their equipment stolen the night before the show, including the bass that was used on “Can’t Stand the Rezillos” and had to borrow some Zodiac Killers equipment. Jo Callis was extremely nice as well as their merchandise guy. But they were all great and extremely nice, and it was a real honor for me to have met them let alone play with them.) o.k back to it: Madrid, Zarogoza, La Rochelle, Muenster to 300+ people and Ostiglia Italy were some of the more memorable shows. Paris was great too, they crowd cheered the Zodiac Killers on for two encores, shocking since the next band was Jon Von and myself and two of the Four Slicks as the Rip Offs. It was weird playing Rip Off songs, (we did a whole set) It was fun though, and people seemed to like it and cut us a bunch of slack for fucking up and not knowing the songs, we did well despite the fact we didn’t even do a soundcheck together, we just started playing!! Thanks to all the great fans old and new we met along the way..and all the people who helped us: All our great friends from the Ulcers and Pokers, Lovely Helen and her boyfriend Alex from the Ulcers and their crazy friends from the north of england…Poison Bambee for her thankless work to set up the show in Madrid and the rest of Spain. The Rizillos for keeping me up all night in Zarogoza Spain and showing me a great time.. Blink Poker for setting up the Rezillos show and his families hospitality, My good friend James Petter for being our driver in the U.K. even though he made us miss our plane to germany, the TOSSER!! Markus in Munster Germany, Thomas Savage and the Kamikatzee girls from Sweden, Jon Von for the Paris show, Our good friends Morticia’s Lovers for playing their last show ever with us, and just being fun guys to hang out with..the crazy French guys from La Rochelle Bart and friends, Franz from Bam Magazine and the Deloreans who set up the final Italian show.. and our crazy friends the Atomsmashers showing up to give us one hell of a final euro show. I could go on and on, we met so many great people, but finally we have to thank our German driver Michael for putting up with our b.s for three weeks especially us harassing him about being what else, GERMAN! We had a great final tour, and a big screw you to the Magic club in Barcelona who canceled our show because the Hot Snakes were playing the same night…just to let you idiots know, The Hot Snakes played the same night as us in Madrid…and guess which band had more people at their show? THE ZODIAC KILLERS you Fucking Morons! I hope you lose money every show you set up for now on…bands be warned these people will screw you in a minute, so stay away from the Magic club in BARCELONA SPAIN, they are CRIMINALS! I have already let Robert from Kiss N Run know to stay the hell away from them. .

The
early eighties, what a start to a decade… Some punk rock fans call
these years the lean years of great music. All Rip Off Records can say is
thank God for Oklahoma and Los Reactors. Rip Off Records scored by getting
the rights to put out this incredible keyboard punk band from Oklahoma.
This came out a few years ago on vinyl on Rave Up Records and on Killed
by Death#100, but this is the first time EVER released on CD! Their hit
single “Dead in The Suburbs” has been covered repeatedly by
bands like the Briefs and Italy’s Morticia’s Lovers. Los Reactors
broke up before they could put out a proper full length, but this has their
first two long out of print singles, with the incredible songs “Culture
Shock,” & “Shakedown” and a live set that doesn’t
sound like horse manure…with classics like You Move Me, Get Out and
Dying Persian Monarch. But Rip Off Records wanted to raise the stakes of
coolness that other labels could never ever dare to attempt and put never
seen before video footage on the CD! That’s right weasel lips you
heard us right. Video on the Cd! This footage is DVD friendly and will play
in newer DVD players. It has hilarious 1980’s news footage about the
Tulsa punk rock scene, and great video footage of the band, playing live
and playing their hit ”Dead in the Suburbs”, and another incredible
song never ever heard before “It’s A Wonderful Life”.
This cd also has Rip Off Record exclusive liner notes by Joe Danger and Roger Scott the two songwriters of Los Reactors, and is great to read after you see the video to get a sense of the history of the early punk rock days. So if you want to hear what the original wave of keyboard punk bands sounded like instead of the new new wave of imposters other labels tout as the greatest thing since sliced pickles, don’t “Be A Zombie” get Los Reactors, NOW!!. |

O.k after complaints and nobody using the new board, we decided to go back
to the old style, lets see if we can get the old losers, writing on here
again… We also have a videos section, with two Zodiac Killers videos, and a brief clip of the Los Reactors video for you to enjoy. |

The Zodiac Killers site is somewhat updated, and looks a little better then before. A lot of this is taken from Ruba Tuesday's own personal site, and has things like the euro tour diarly on it. enjoy, and we are still working on this site. |

clowns…its here..the rare third singles compilation of Rip Off Records
out of print singles. Because I am so nice I will tip you off, the Lp version
of this has a one time pressing of 500. Mordam usually takes more than that
so this is going to be sold out almost immediately. But luckily I have kept
some for paypal orders. This has the only Infections single, that actually
has a song I wrote in the Rip Offs, The French band the Swindlers, The legendary
Spastics, with a limited edition B-side song, The Problematics favorite
band the Chinese Millionaires, Adam of the Radio Reelers first band, The
Spites, and the incredible Registrators, with one of the best singles on
Rip Off Records, TV Hell, with their limited edition B-side. |

Wanted
to let the world know the biggest seller on Rip Off Records is back in print
after a few years of being sold out. This CD has a 16 page booklet chock
full of Rip Offs history, and various other goodies not seen anywhere else,
not even on this site!! |
|||||||||
|
|||||||||
|
After receiving a lot of pissed off hate mail for not allowing international
paypal orders, Rip Off can only accept them this way: You must email us
first with your address and what you want to order. Then we can calculate
the postage and tell you what to forward. The international orders are harder due to currency fluctuations, and Paypal adding these other fees for international orders. So that’s that. |
